Faith is believing in the things unseen.

It rests not on logical proof and material evidences, or the human feeling.

Its not based on how we feel, ration, see, or sense.. it is beyond our mind's imaginations.

Simple example we have that could relate faith to; gravity.

We don't see it.

We don't feel it.

We don't sense it.

We can never really explain how it was formed in the first place.

We just know it exists.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1, KJV).

Though there are many challenges in life, remain faithful and positive.. cause they can overcome impossibilities.

From a very young adolescent, I have been rebellious in many ways...

Why do this?? Why not that??

Why should I eat this, why not McDonalds?

Why do I have to follow you to this.. and not be able to to that..

Why...

The word 'why' may seem inevitable in our daily lives, but this short question plays a big role in all of us.

Even all great people of the past question 'WHY'.

Albert Einstein, Sir Isaac Newton, Henry Ford, and many more.

It's funny why people don't use 'How' in the same case.

We use the word frequently in situations where we have to count 'How many' or 'How much?'.

..in greetings "How are ya?"... "How've you been?"

Coming back to the point..

Asking how, in my point of view can be really personal.

An example -

Peter, will you clean the dishes for me?

1) WHYYY... I'm so lazy... ask Adeline. :D

2) *you ask yourself how*

How will doing the dishes benefit me?

How will doing the dishes benefit others?

How dirty can it get?

How many dishes are there to do?

How long will it take?

I really believe if we can just swap these words in situations such as this, everyone would become more sensitive to one another especially - our parents.

"YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND ME, WHY CAN'T YOU UNDERSTAND ME?!"

real question is...

"Why don't you understand them?..."

"If you think your parents don't understand you. Remember, 'fathers were sons and mums were daughters'."

There are some things we can't explain when we ask ourselves how and why..

and it gets frustrating, I know. We all know it.

But I realize after how much responsibilities they have to consider compared to mine at the time.

It takes time to understand, and like I always say

'Everything happens for a reason, and it can be for a good cause."

We may still ask how and why right now, but it's perfect. At least I think it is.

'Fathers are fathers and Mothers are mothers'.

Its the way it is. If they want it that way, its the way it should be done.

'Obedience is better than Sacrifice', that's the way I learned it.

'Fathers will be grandfathers, and Mothers will be grandmothers'.

I just can't ignore the thought of how our folks will be when they become older.

I've heard the worst, and I've heard the best.

Anything can happen and its a fact.

Always cherish them, care for them, thank them for what they've done.

Because in the end, if they were the ones who brought you through, you are the one who need to help them through too... in time.

I always wonder why the nights feel longer..

Maybe there's not much to do?

It's probably boring, or maybe God's giving us more of that sleepy time we need..

Time's passing by really fast, and all I can think of is.. 'what's next'?

I don't feel nostalgic anymore, and I've released everything that I can't bother again.

The dawn is starting to fade, and I stare outside watching for the lights to shine through the window by side and thinking, 'yeap, another day...

...another day going by'...

The weds coming soon, and there's much to prepare.

So yes, another day of lifting, sweating, and strains to the physical body..

oh mercy.

I'll keep smiling and laughing, cause the joy of the Lord, is our strength.

Cleaning up my closet and leaving behind the things not needed anymore,
I feel the pain of just throwing them away.

T-Shirts, broken toys, torn jeans, old stationeries.

It's hard to let go some of these precious items you've accumulated over many years, isn't it?

With the new years approaching, there's been a lot of changes; renovations, clearing old and unneeded items, more cleaning, changes in resolutions, plans, and goals.

I've had to cross out a lot from last year's 'supposed-to-do' task.

I guess music to me, will just be a past time.. and I'll probably not turn back to lessons.

I secretly wished to perform in an acoustic band- maybe learn a bit from my imaginary team of acoustic friends which I never could find..

I guess things do change, and we'll have to leave behind the past.

I'm striving to make a good start here, then again.. there are obstacles that hinder what I want to do.

Bring it on 2012.. I may fail but I won't lose hope.

Comes 2013, I hope that I'll still keep this fire burning at least.

Thank you 2011, you've been a great challenge.. but you brought me something better..

So, it's Christmas 2011.

Well, the last few moments before it ends now but I just wanted to post up a thought.

Christmas.

It's that time of the year.

In Malaysia, we've had snow-spray wars, gifts, singing, sharing, meals, partying, shopping, family outings and so much more.

Sometimes I really think it would be cool to have some snow here, it would bring so much more to celebrating 'Christmas'.

But what is Christmas, really?

Is it just a time where we share, love, and enjoy each others' company for a day?
Is it the presents, gifts, music, atmosphere, short holiday?

Well, generally the whole world celebrates it, and we do it for our own reasons.

It's a beautiful Christmas this time around I have to say, I'll always remember the moments.

1) 4 tests
2) 2 days of performance, all starting from the 8 hours of practice later
3) 3 assignments due Thurs & Friday
4) 3 meetings throughout the week
5) turtle to feed :)
6) a wedding to attend to
7) 2-3 hours to complete for community service
8) balance work time

It's the last month before the exams and everyone's going to leave soon.

...and yet again, the schedule is being mean.

Next weekend seems too far away, argh.

Everyone will decide at one point to change in some way.

In the process, our first step may be as simple as to come out with various steps:

eg.

1) Don't procrastinate
2) Do not over-feed the turtle
3) Be punctual
4) ~~Shave head~~
5) Practice for...

Yeah, so the question I'm trying to impose is... :"how often do you strike out your steps in the process?"

I do it all the time.
No, not all of them seem as dumb as the example above.. lol.

I just keep changing what I want to change about when I look back.

It may be in seconds, minutes, hours, days, months, or years... I will somehow cancel out or alter a step.

I used to think it is a bad habit to have,
or maybe the brainstorming just got little out of control. ;)

But I think it's worth it now,
things change as time passes by and this is completely natural.

Changes happen for reasons.
Sometimes they're reasons we can't comprehend and may be unknown.
But the results show at the end of the day, when we alter our steps... to change our lives.

I played it for an hour, which seemed more like 3 hours - maybe because of my ill state.

So, I've been playing this new game with some friends.

I know I haven't taken steps ahead since those Counter Strike days, but those times are quite over. No, not totally - I still love that game and play it sometimes.

Well, old will be gone and new things come about.

'Examinations'.. the word is not as tough as it was before. I've become numb to those papers, pens, textbooks, net books, pen drives, late nights & sleepy days, etc.

But there's always a brighter side to it..

I'm almost on track.

Once this year I made a choice - a choice of no regrets, but of some challenges. That's how I see it..

Losing something is devastating. Yes, it stings - and your goals may seem to fade so slowly..

Watching it isn't healthy.

But like Mr. Hanna said: "If you're gonna' make an omelette, you're gonna' have to break some eggs."

I've been through some bad situations this year.. I won't want to repeat that.

Looking back and looking at the situation I'm in now.. I am thankful that there were and there are God-sent angels here to guide me despite the countless times I wanted to pack my bags and leave.

Yes, it is!

Lost my dear watch about 2 years ago, while at soccer training.. ever since then, I relied on my phone to keep in contact with time. It's amazing, how a 'little machine' with many simple mechanisms in it, in which would attaches to one's wrist can allow the human to know the time of the day just by producing sufficient eco-energy to create movement [to raise the left arm, .... or leg.. you'll never know! :)] ... and using the necessary parts of his/her body eg. eyes, head movement, neck... to locate the little machine, also known as 'the watch' - in which indicates the time of the day, in which also sends transmission of information from the eyes, to the brain, and throughout the entire human body via the nervous system.

....I'm just being complicated. Yah, I just wanna' get a watch for my convenience. :) Digital / Analog? Still deciding. ^^,

Once again... I fail to blog consistently.

Took sometime to prepare what I wanted to do, but I have it all planned out after finalizing my study course. I've decided to stay in Malaysia to do my foundation course before I leave again for NZ. Well, I've been loving the nothing-to-do days. I get to sleep, eat, go out, come back, exercise, go out, and sleep. O.o?

...Main thing is.. IT'S BORING!.

I miss my sisters, things are different without them though.. hoping they're all good. :)
Asia Conference 2010 is coming up in a few weeks. 5 days of full-on energy draining, long queuing, leg killing, tongue scratching (What?), pineapple eating (...), flesh torturing drill. But I'm expecting something great, powerful, mind-blowing, influential, and life changing from this event. I'm grateful, just being able to learn so much here in Malaysia.. just cherishing everyone moment.

Driving is my kind of 'fetish'.
Its probably just a temporary craze, but I'm loving it heaps.

Drove last night to Taipan at around 1am with Daniel Yee, for a quick supper at McDonalds.
Was pretty awesome though. He kept telling me I'd gouge out on driving in a few weeks.. xD
Well, drove him back to his place.. and then I had to drive back. Was my first tme driving alone in the car. Thank God for radios. wahaaaahh..! :)

Risking.

We take risks everyday.

Much is to be added to Life when there is more risks involved.

However, risking does have its cons.

Fear is probably the main issue when we dare not risk.
The fear of Death, Embarrassment, Rejection, and many more..

It's quite normal to have these feelings.. I guess sometimes it can't be helped. But we'll never know if we try right? :)

My dad just got his Nokia 5800 last night. It's pretty cool. I think I'd rather suggest this phone than purchasing a Blackberry or an iPhone for personal users.

Hey blog readers. :D

I have decided to start blogging again, it's 2010 and I want to start fresh and new :)

Well, I have been back here in Malaysia for about 3 months now. I am loving it here.
Just hanging out with my old mates and meeting new people everywhere has made me happier in
many ways. I love the culture, the people, the food =O!!, my family, and friends :)

Now, just a little on what I have been doing lately..

Well, Chinese New Year has just passed. I was blessed with many 'ang paos' from the numerous uncles and aunties I have. So, there was definitely some shopping around. I missed Sunway Pyramid so much.. A place where most of my memories with friends will stay on. Above all of that, I was glad to meet my relatives once again. Everyone changes so much after a year. It's amazing to see new baby cousins pop out of nowhere. It's awesome, love it <3.

I am currently undergoing my driving lessons ever since the end of January. :) The test is just around the corner, so I'll be giving my best on the very day. I attend the S10 Cell Group nearby, and it has been great fun. There's so much to learn from the people around me especially at church. I need to buck up mannn..... That's why I go for Bible studies now. ;)

My eldest sister - Josephine, has left for Singapore for a 6-month course at the School Of Theology. I miss her dearly because she taught me well in many ways though I always give her 'problems' in NZ. :) Miss and Love you always :)

Ade, my youngest sister is also leaving tomorrow in the evening at 7pm. I will be going to KLIA to send her off. She'll be traveling alone, so I wish her the best in her decision making. I'm sure she'll pull through. She was 1st in her class, she would be able to travel alone.. Unfortunately, she can't jump more than 6 inches :) WAHAHAHA. :) <3 youu still Ade.. :D

Other than that, I found the adorable, irresistible, amazing, sizzling, heart-pounding, cool, awesome, fantabulous, and loving Jenn. :D She's so cool.. just someone who can cheer you up with her bright smile. And those cheeks, are the cutest little things you'll ever notice on her ;) We met a few years ago, met up again at a camp last December. :) Happier man ever since.. I Love You Jenn. <3 ;)

I have a driving test in the morning at 9, better go now..

Time passed by really quickly these few months. I'm eager to finish all my work this year and just relax for the rest of the year. Things have got more challenging year by year - just wonder how it would be like the next year..

Planning - There's so many plans I have made in mind for 2010. But the main question that always stays is: "What will I be in the future?"

There's many directions to turn to.
So many changes in life to face.
2010.. 2010.. a whole new year, of much new experiences, friends, environment, society, and many other to be added.

Action -

You and I would have felt irresoluted about something. Could be work, study, or even life. Sh*t happens, and I think it has a purpose to why it does. I need to carry on.. and I think I'm encouraging myself by blogging - which is weird.

I'm so put out for no reason. It's the holidays, and I think I'll just stay home this whole week.

I guess I'm bored here..

Exams are in 2 days and I can't be bothered to work on it.

It's weird how years can change from one year to another.

People come and go and I think that's sad.

You know that feeling - Where.. a special someone is leaving and you start to think about the memorable times. Your heart pounds faster AND FASTER.. then you get that uneasy feeling..

Soon as he/she leaves, you feel 'let down'. Like a heap of energy loss.. and you get it every time you think about the thought.

OK.. where am I going from this?

I guess I'm feeling it right now.

OKAY! I NEED SOME LOVE.
I'm still in one piece. Just desperate. :)

This is interesting:

Love is as critical for your mind and body as oxygen. It's not negotiable. The more connected you are, the healthier you will be both physically and emotionally. The less connected you are, the more you are at risk.

It is also true that the less love you have, the more depression you are likely to experience in your life. Love is probably the best antidepressant there is because one of the most common sources of depression is feeling unloved. There is a mythology in our culture that love just happens. As a result, the depressed often sit around passively waiting for someone to love them. But love doesn't work that way. To get love and keep love you have to go out and be active and learn a variety of specific skills.

An update.

We lost 8-1 to WestLake last week which was a bummer. That was the worst game played of the season so far.

Like every other team, we always have to perform better after a loss especially of that scoreline.
So we had training which actually helped us oodles - doing all the strenuous drills.

Started off yesterday at Rosmini.

We were lucky not to concede an early goal, which would plunge our heads down. Half-time at 0-0 with some good efforts after struggling for awhile. We won in the end with a goal from a corner kick. :)

Well, it will be the last game of the season next week and I think we are 2nd or 3rd in the league.
Geez, I'm definitely gonna miss soccer at BC.

BC Ball 09'

Gonna go to the school ball on Saturday. Tickets are quite expensive at $75 ea. so not many will be going. C'mon man, we're in an economic downswing here.. - I'm partly excited about it happening, but at the same time I think the whole event would not turn out as exciting as expected. Well, there's food and dancing. w00t. :)

Thinking about the ticket price, I predict at least 300 students attending the BC ball.

300 x $75 = 22.5K.

That's about 20 - 30K to collect.

That is a lot of money for a night event like that. I wonder how much it would actually cost to set up the event...

6 Things That Make Me Happy

1) Friends

Good friends, Bad friends, Funny friends, Weird friends, Angry friends, Happy friends, Lonely friends, Smart friends, Dumb friends, Sad friends, Fun friends, they are all still - friends.

The different characteristics in friends are special and unique. They, place a bit of something into people's lives inimitably and it actually has an effect that makes us learn something, whether it is good or bad.

2) Family

My family is one that has supported me -all the way- throughout my life. Difficult circumstances that had seemed impossible for me to overcome has been made easy through their love, support, and guidance. 'Happy' is the word that pops up in my head when the word family is mentioned or seen.

3) E-Sports/Competitive Gaming

I love challenge, especially in e-sports. The pace, entertainment, excitement, and social connection with players around the world is a way I can express my interest and share a bit of a friendship online or LAN. This is, however, just a past time enjoyment/hobby and it makes me 'happy'. :)

4) Workplace

They say 'schooling' is one of the best times in everyone's life. Yes, I think it really is true for me. It is always nice to have friends around and learning at the same time. Often times the work and assignments pile up, and I keep too focused-not realizing the things that are happening out of school. I guess there has to be a balance enjoying life and work depending on the priority.

5) Food

Yes! Food is important. Food is anything eaten to satisfy appetite and to meet physiological needs for growth, to maintain all body processes, and to supply energy (or hyper-ness) to maintain body temperature and activity. With that statement, it actually tells a lot about 'food'. To me, Life needs different kinds of food. Physical, Mental, Emotional, and even Spiritual 'foods'. It is, quite amazing to think how these 'foods' are actually essential to humans in a society. From this, we see religions, education, and compassion come about to help each of us grow in life.

6) Love

Romance movies/K-dramas have always been my favorite to watch or read about. It always creates a very annoying suspense feeling that makes it even more interesting to watch. Love's happy thing is the best. ;)

Played a soccer game against Long Bay yesterday (Saturday). A bit of a history playing with Long Bay... *dreamy effects* It all started one fine morning... *Thunder rumbling*. :D

... okay we lost 4-1 to them last term and it's also when I actually sprained my ankle-for the first time! Yay! (You guys: -_-)

Finished the half at 0-0. Got our two goals quite late in the game. - Probably the last 10 minutes.
And then they scored. :(
Anyways, we won and that's what matters. :D

Back 2 School

Yes so, got back to school after the '2 golden weeks' of holiday that's passed *sniff*

What's happening??
-School lah of course.

*Sigh*

Back to daily routine
Mornings:

Bangun Pagi, Gosok Gigi
Cuci Muka, Pakai Baju
Makan Roti, Minum Susu
Pergi Sekolah, Suka Hati.

For those of you who are not Malaysians here is the translated one.

Ummm here goes, I may not be totally right.

Wake up in the morning, Brush my teeth
Wash my face, Wear my clothes (or shirt?)
Eat bread (breakfast food), Drink milk(breakfast... drink)
Go to school, with a happy heart.

Today was probably more of 'with a heavy heart' for me rather than a happy one with full of expectations for the day. We all have had that day before. But, why?

I guess it can't be helped. But I really did enjoy today. It did not turn out as dull and bad as I thought. I've got a new Economics teacher today too. He's pretty cool - Mr.Moore (even a cooler name). I chuckled when he introduced himself. I was thinking about cows. :) *bad bad* lol.

Tomorrow's another day~ Another Adventure. ;)

Then Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brethren the priests and built the Sheep Gate; they consecrated it and hung its doors … Nehemiah 3:1

A major work of Nehemiah was rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem. The walls had 10 different gates or entrances that gave access to the house of God. Just like there were 10 gates that needed to be restored, there are 10 things in the restoration work of God within the Church today.

(1) The Sheep Gate (Neh. 3:1-2). God wants to restore the shepherding and caring of those who are weak, vulnerable, broken, sick and lost. For the Church to be healthy, proper pastoral care and discipleship is absolutely vital.

(2) The Fish Gate (3:3-5). The primary purpose of the Church is soul-winning. Yet, many Christians detest being fishers of men because fish smell bad. They are also dirty, slippery and hard to handle. Never be so consumed by your self-importance and self-need that you fail to be an effective soul-winner.

(3) The Old Gate (3:6-8). This gate refers to the things that have been established a long time ago—the ancient Bible truths and scriptural doctrines that have stood the test of time. As they repaired the Old Gate, the residence of the governor was also restored. Authority in life is found as the believer grounds himself in sound doctrine.

(4) The Valley Gate (3:13). Valleys are very low places. They speak of humility. There is the need to restore humility back into the Church life. We must remember that unless the Lord builds the house, they who build it labor in vain.

(5) The Refuse Gate (3:13). This speaks to us of sanctification—getting rid of the things that poisons our spiritual lives if we hold on to them. What is the “refuse” or “dung” in your life that is keeping you from loving God 100 percent? Dump it at the Refuse Gate.

(6) The Fountain Gate (3:15). The fountain speaks to us of the fullness of the Holy Spirit. The fullness of the Holy Spirit brings with it authority and power for leadership. We need to restore the Fountain Gate back in the Church.

(7) The Water Gate (3:26). The Water Gate again speaks of the restoration of the Word of God in our lives (Eph. 5:26).

(8) The Horse Gate (3:28). The horse is seldom afraid of danger. God wants His Church to be strong in spiritual warfare.

(9) The East Gate (3:29). The sun rises from the east. This gate, therefore, speaks of light, glory, hope and vision. God wants to restore a strong sense of vision and purpose back to the Church.

(10) The Miphkad Gate (3:31-32). Miphkad in Hebrew means to remember or to recall. God wants us to constantly recount the sacrifice of Calvary and never to trade off our spiritual values and calling for the worthless things of this world.
